Ankle Cooper Kupp: Right now, things point to dodging a bullet
Rams manager Sean McVay said after Sunday’s defeat to the 49ers he was a hopeful catcher Cooper Coup would be fine after suffering an ankle injury just over a minute from the end of the race.
Kupp himself added some more details on what happened in the fateful third down in the locker room after the match.
“I feel good right now. We will know more in the coming days, we will understand what exactly is going on. But I feel pretty good nowKupp said, via a video by Arash Markazi of TheSportingTribune.com. “Right now, things point to dodging a bullet. So hopefully this is the case going on here. “
Kupp said his ankle “rolled up a bit” after taking a 6-yard hold on third and fourth.
“The foot was caught, but I think I was able to slip out of there before there was too much damage,” he said. “So, we’ll see in the next few days how he responds to him.”
Kupp was stunned by the linebacker Fred Warnerwho stopped to talk to Kupp as the two were leaving the field.
“He just said he wasn’t trying to hurt anyone, which, I know. I appreciate that, “Kupp said.” He plays hard. He was just checking in. “
Kupp finished Sunday’s game with eight captures for 79 yards with a touchdown.
His status on the Los Angeles injury report will be worth monitoring next week. The Rams will travel to Florida to face the buccaneers next Sunday.
