Arkansas 41, Auburn 27: Five “Answered” Questions

The Arkansas Razorbacks improved to 5-3 (2-3 SEC) with a 41-27 win over the Auburn Tigers (3-5, 1-4 SEC) at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn (Ala.). The win ended the Hogs’ six-game losing streak against the Tigers and was Arkansas’s first road win in the series since 2012.

The Tigers jumped 3-0 ahead before the Hogs jumped ahead with two touchdowns. Arkansas maintained a 17-13 lead at half-time before breaking away with 21 consecutive points in the third quarter and starting from there.

Arkansas manager Sam Pittman hopes this win will propel his team to another strong run down the stretch, similar to last season.

“I hope so,” Pittman said. “We are 5-3 where we were 5-3 last year. The difference is obviously different opponents, and the other thing is that we have three of the next four home games. Our fans will rock that place. They will, next week will be homecoming, and we have the opportunity to have a great week and that would give us the opportunity to qualify for bowling and that’s a big, big deal. And then, as the year goes on, it depends on which bowl you have to go to, but at least you’re eligible if we can be good enough to beat a truly exceptional Liberty team. “

Before each match, we list Five Burning Questions and Keys to Victory for the Razorbacks. Here’s how it all went in Auburn on Saturday afternoon:
