The players weigh in after the Missouri defeat
South Carolina saw their four-game winning streak ending Saturday night when they fell to Missouri at Williams-Brice Stadium with a score of 23-10.
The Gamecocks (5-3, 2-3) struggled to get something offensive and couldn’t get out of the hole they got in at the start of the match.
Missouri would total 367 yards while South Carolina could only collect 203 yards. South Carolina’s ground play was non-existent on Saturday night as he only rushed 32 yards with the running back MarShawn Lloyd being the main runner with 30 yards on the ground.
After the game, linebacker Debo Williamswho led the Gamecocks into tackles with nine, said they need to get through Saturday’s performance and prepare to head to Nashville to face Vanderbilt.
“Every week is a new week,” Williams said. “Let’s say we have lost the last two weeks, we have to come as if we had won both those weeks. Every week we prepare to do our best. Even with injuries, the next man comes and you have to do your best. That’s it. that you can ever do. Just try to carry out whatever is given to us. We just have to move on. “
